Christmas Market Challenge: Christmas Party

Christmas markets are beautiful. Lights everywhere, the scent of roasted almonds, mulled wine, and bratwurst… and that’s exactly why staying focused during this team event is much harder than you might think at first. After a brief introduction by the game leader, each team receives a tablet and a city map. Sounds easy? It would be—if it weren’t for the tempting mulled wine stands, sparkling string lights, and gingerbread hearts trying to grab your attention everywhere you look.

Guided by various clues, the route winds through the festively decorated downtown area. Exciting puzzles, creative team tasks, and tricky challenges await at different stations. This calls for smarts, teamwork, and sometimes even a good memory—especially when a teammate was just convinced they’d memorized the clue… only to have completely forgotten it five minutes later.

Of course, every team develops its own strategy. Some work in a structured way and plan every step. Others simply follow the scent of mulled wine and hope that the destination happens to be along the way. Surprisingly, both approaches sometimes work amazingly well. With every task they solve, the teams get closer to victory. But in the end, it’s not necessarily the fastest group that wins—it’s the one that works together smartly, has the best ideas, and doesn’t let a serving of roasted almonds completely throw them off track.
