Song Team Event

Every office has them: the coworker who turns up the volume on every song on the radio, the coworker who always sings an octave too high, and the self-proclaimed superstar who’s convinced he’s just “not been discovered yet.” Now is your chance to prove it—or to disprove it once and for all. For one day, the team becomes a band. You’ll record your own song in a professional recording studio—with real microphones, headphones, and all the trimmings. The only thing missing is a hysterically screaming fan base outside the door.

Don’t worry: Being able to sing isn’t a requirement. In fact, it’s believed that some of the biggest hits in music history didn’t become famous because of their perfection either. During the vocal workshop, a pro will show how to turn off-key notes into something that at least sounds almost like music. Of course, it doesn’t stop at singing. There’ll be laughter, improvisation, discussion, and probably at least one argument about who completely forgot the chorus. And by the time a participant tries to hit that high note and instead just scares the dog three streets away, the mood is perfect.

To capture that brand-new superstar look, a professional photo session is, of course, part of the package. After all, every album needs a cover where everyone looks as serious as possible—even if they were laughing until they cried just moments before. In the end, the team not only takes home their own CD, but also proof that collaboration can sometimes sound amazingly good. And if a career as a pop star doesn’t pan out after all: there’s at least plenty of material to make people smile at the next Christmas party.
