These days, people spend nearly half their day at work. That’s why all employees strive for a workplace where they aren’t seen as mere tools but are valued as human beings. To show that you share this perspective, a team-building event in Krefeld is the perfect solution. In this city on the Lower Rhine—known as the “City of Velvet and Silk”—the textile trade flourished for centuries; today, this legacy is best exemplified by the German Textile Museum and the world’s largest annual street fashion show. In addition to textiles, Krefeld’s economy today revolves around food production, as is the case at Dextro Energy GmbH. Give your employees the opportunity to recharge their energy and feel appreciated through a unique team-building event in Krefeld—for example, during a shared stage performance. Krefeld is home to five different theaters; a special highlight is the Kriewelsche Pappköpp, a puppet theater featuring entertaining shows in the Krefeld dialect. The city also boasts a music school, over a hundred choirs, and regular poetry slams. Since much interpersonal communication is nonverbal, a team-building event at the theater can be very helpful. Team-building in Krefeld allows participants to develop skills such as presence and persuasiveness, as well as to gain a fundamental sense of self-confidence. Also of particular interest is the Krefeld Flachsmarkt, the world’s largest crafts market, where endangered trades such as clay builders and soap makers are showcased.

The entire Lower Rhine region is a popular destination for domestic and international tourists, especially Dutch visitors. In Kempen, you’ll find ornate patrician houses as well as countless historic half-timbered buildings, which you can even explore on a nighttime city tour. In addition, the city has its own Kempen app, making it easy to plan spontaneous outings and stay up to date. The Lower Rhine Tourism organization suggests many exciting destinations. One example is Adventure Park Xanten, which attracts visitors not only with climbing opportunities but also with water skiing and a beach area. There’s also plenty to discover at the Xanten Archaeological Park: the reconstructed Roman town—complete with an amphitheater, harbor temple, Roman restaurant, and all the trimmings—leaves nothing to be desired. Also very popular in the region are the mini-golf course with a beer garden at Hariksee and the chocolate factory in Kleve, where you can get a behind-the-scenes look at the production process and then sample some chocolatey treats. Between Kleve, Kranenburg, and Groesbeek, there’s also a unique rail line where you can take handcar tours—a blast for everyone. The EisSport and Event Park in Grefrath is known far beyond the region and, in addition to an ice rink in winter, serves as a venue for numerous musicals, comedy shows, and concerts. The Lower Rhine region is best known for the art of brewing Altbier, but you can also enjoy a delicious meal at authentic farm cafés.
