Yacht in Pursuit of the Gangster

A dangerous gangster has gone into hiding—and your team, of all people, has been tasked with finding out where he’s living in Europe. Don’t worry: no police training is required. A little teamwork, a keen eye, and the ability to not constantly get lost are all you need. At least in theory. Equipped with the game materials, the teams set off through the city. Along the way, they must find well-known landmarks, collect clues, and solve a tricky word puzzle. With each location discovered, more letters can be crossed off until the gangster’s whereabouts are slowly revealed. Provided, of course, that the team doesn’t spend twenty minutes debating whether they’ve really arrived at the right spot.

Of course, every group immediately develops its own strategy. The strategist wants to sort through all the clues first, the navigator trusts his sense of direction blindly, and the most confident team member says: “I know a shortcut around here.” Spoiler: It’s precisely this shortcut that usually leads to suddenly exploring a completely unfamiliar part of town. With every puzzle solved, the excitement builds. Every correct answer is celebrated as if the team had just pulled off an international manhunt success. When a new puzzle appears, the most creative theories spring up immediately. Sometimes it sounds surprisingly professional—sometimes more like the plot of an action movie.
